Simulates the iPhone and Android experience: OS-style permission prompts, push notifications, wallet passes, camera and share sheets. Opened on a real phone, the site fills the screen and matches the device.

Guest journey walkthrough
Select a step, or use the app directly. The phone screen and these notes stay in sync.
🛺 Camden golf cart connector
Ferry landing ↔ Battleship New Jersey. The cart's onboard GPS-enabled iPad supplies position updates for a separate cart chip and opt-in pickup messages. This is a proposed passenger-information connection, not an operating dispatch system.
Confirm operating hours, boarding location, seats, accessibility, driver contact and the approved land route. Use a GPS-capable iPad model, data connection and secure mount; the driver must not handle the tablet while moving. Background tracking and SMS need an authorized service, consent, and field testing.
⛴️ Live ferry chip — fed by Wheelhouse
The ferry chip shows the vessel's live position between docks and an ETA, using position and status data from our Wheelhouse crew/vessel app. It appears on Home, Today, and the ferry stops in the itinerary; leave-by alerts recalculate from the live ETA.
⏱️ Simulate 10-min delay📴 Simulate feed outage✓ Back to normal
Behavior: "Live" shows only when Wheelhouse has updated within ~60 seconds. If the feed goes quiet, the chip switches to the published schedule and says so—no stale positions shown as live. ETAs are estimates; posted schedule and crew announcements take priority. Requires the ferry operator to run Wheelhouse or share vessel data.
📡 BLE beacon layer — both riverbanks
Beacons at docks, entrances, gangways and vendor areas let the phone recognize where the guest is—even inside the battleship or aquarium where GPS is weak—and surface the right ticket, direction or check-in automatically.
Arrival moments: ticket pops up at the ferry dock, aquarium gate, battleship gangway and swan-boat dock
Automatic check-in: itinerary updates itself; "rate it" prompts arrive as guests leave each stop
Indoor wayfinding: stop-by-stop guidance inside the ship and buildings
Vendor nudges: nearby DRWC vendor messages only if the guest opts in, with frequency caps
Partner insights: aggregated, anonymous foot-traffic and dwell-time trends for DRWC and partners
Guardrails: detection happens on the phone and requires opt-in. Beacons are broadcast-only and can be copied, so a beacon is a hint—never proof of entry, a ticket validation or a payment trigger. iPhone limits background monitoring to 20 regions per app, so the app rotates nearby zones. Placement needs property-owner approval, weatherproof mounts and a battery/maintenance plan. Hardware TBD and should be field-tested.
